Course Overview

White Card, formerly known as Red Card is a requirement on all construction & building sites in NSW, QLD & Victoria. This course will teach you how to ensure safe, efficient and effective work practices on construction sites. You will learn the acts, regulations, codes of practice and industry standards which are endorsed by the Victorian WorkSafe Authority. In this course you will learn about:

• Employers and employees responsibilities
• Health and safety committees
• Worksafe inspectors powers
• Workplace behaviour
• Proof of training and competency
• Hazards and risk assessments
• Safe work method statement/job safety analysis, acts, regulations, codes of practice and industry standards.

Qualifications and Recognition

As set out in part 5.1 of the Occupational Health & Safety Regulations 2007, a person must not do construction work at a workplace unless they are registered, or taken to be registered, to perform that work. This requirement came into effect from 1 July 2008.

Upon successful completion of this unit participants will be eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment on the day of training and Worksafe will issue the White Card – Conduction Industrial Training.
