Home and community care is an important and growing industry offering a range of rewarding career possibilities. You will learn about the aged care sector, how to communicate effectively and meaningfully with older people, the range of care and supports available to older people and how to provide a professional standard of care and support to older people in their home. A career in the home and community care sector may lead you to work with people in their homes. People with this qualification work in a range of positions such as Community Support Worker, Accommodation Support Worker, Carer, In Home Respite Worker, Personal Care Worker, Home Care Assistant, Community Care Worker, Field Officer, or Community House Worker.
