You will learn about the aged care sector, how to communicate effectively and meaningfully with older people, the range of care and supports available to older people and how to provide a professional standard of care and support to older people. A career in the aged care sector may lead you to work in residential aged care facilities, in community services organisations, or within the health industry. People with this qualification work in a range of positions such as Assistant in Nursing, Community Support Worker, Accommodation Support Worker, Carer, In Home Respite Worker, Personal Care Worker, Home Care Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Community Care Worker, Field Officer, or Community House Worker.
