Course Overview

Students who successfully complete this unit will be credited with HLTFA301B Apply First Aid.     This unit covers the application of skills and knowledge in an emergency in the workplace where first aid treatment options are applied. It is about assessing the situation, providing first aid to the casualty, co-ordinating first aid until arrival of medical assistance and communicating details of the incident to others involved in the situation. It also covers CPR/EAR.      Most workplaces require a specific number of people to successfully complete this qualification. The Senior First Aid qualification remains current for three years, during which time a Senior First Aid refresher course must be completed.

Upon successful completion of this unit students will be eligible to receive the Apply First Aid Statement of Attainment
